Sequencing batch reactor (SBR) Technology is one of the famouse biological suspended growth treatment systems. WETICO known for its vast experience in different and diverse treatment technologies, has vast experience in design, execution and operation of SBR treatment systems. Raw Sewage is introduced to inlet works (preliminary Screening, & grit removal units) then balanced in a balancing tank in order to control the discharge to Each SBR Stream. With Fully automated system the SBR in Majma STP is operational in five well known phases (Filling, Reaction, Settling, Decanting & Idle phase). Treated effluent / decant is treansferred to a break tank by a decanting mechanism installed in the SBR Tank. From there SBR treated effluent is pumped to a tertiatry treatment system (pressure sand filtration) to reach suitable effluent quality of BOD <10 and TSS <10. Sludge (the bio-product from the treatment) is transferred by means of special pumps to a sludge handling system, where dry solid content is increased from 0.8% to 18% to enable sludge handling and reduce the wasted water from the system to the most optimum value for sustainable treatment.
